Credits are the billing unit because a still and a ten-second clip cost very different amounts to produce. The scale never changes between plans.

The charge appears on your regular Shopify invoice. Upgrade, downgrade or cancel from your admin at any time. We never see your card.
Unused credits carry into the next month, up to twice your monthly allowance. Cancelling forfeits the balance.
If a generation fails, its credits go straight back to your balance. You only pay for output you actually received.
The subscription is the only thing you are ever billed for. There are no credit packs, per-render fees or overage charges.
Because the outputs are not interchangeable. A try-on still costs a fraction of what a ten-second clip costs to produce, and a plan priced in videos would either overcharge for stills or undercharge for long clips.
The trade-off is that a credit figure is not an output count, which is why both numbers appear together everywhere on this site.
No. Shopify's managed pricing does not permit an app to create one-time charges, so credit packs are not something Videlia can sell. If you run out, move up a plan or wait for the cycle to reset. Rollover means a light month funds a heavy one.
Shopify handles the proration. Your new allowance applies from the next cycle, and any credits you had banked stay banked, subject to the new plan's rollover cap.
Billing stops at the end of the current period and any remaining credits are forfeited. Videos you already generated stay downloadable until your data is removed, and anything already published to your theme keeps working.
The Free plan is the trial, and it does not expire. It gives you three finished videos a month at 720p with a watermark, which is enough to judge the output on your own products before paying anything.
