Who is writing this. Videlia is one of the apps on this page. That is a reason to check our claims, so we have made them checkable: every rating is linked to the listing it came from and dated, we name where we lose, and we do not give any competitor a summary box designed to be lifted as a recommendation. What actually differs between these apps?
Five things: whether it outputs video or only stills, how the output reaches your storefront, what one usable result costs after failures, which body types it can show, and what the licence lets you do. Listings advertise the first and the last. The middle three decide whether you keep using it.
Everything else on a listing page is either table stakes or unverifiable. Model counts change weekly. "AI-powered" describes every app in the category. Resolution claims are worth reading, and worth checking against what the model underneath can actually render.
Which of them make video, and which make stills?
Most of this category started as still-image tools and added video later. That matters because a video-first tool prices and fails differently: you pay per clip rather than per photo, and a bad generation costs several times more. Check whether video is on the plan you would actually buy, not just on the top one.

What does one usable result actually cost?
Not the sticker price. The number that matters is the price of a result you would publish, which is the plan price divided by the generations that came out right. An app at half the price that needs three attempts is the more expensive app, and no listing page will tell you that ratio.
The published units are not comparable either. Botika sells credits where a photo costs 1 and a video 5. MODA sells products, at roughly $1.25 for one product's ten photos. Videlia sells credits where a try-on still is 1, a five second video 3 and a ten second video 6, which makes its free plan three finished videos rather than ten. Work out your own cost per publishable asset before comparing anything.
How does the output get onto the product page?
This is the difference that shows up months later and almost never appears on a listing. Some apps hand you a file to upload yourself. Some inject code into your theme. Some publish through a theme app block, which lives in the app and leaves nothing behind when you uninstall.
Ask what happens on uninstall before you install. Snippet-injecting apps routinely leave orphaned code that throws errors long after the app is gone. Videlia publishes through a theme app block, described on Shopify product page videos.
Where does each one break?
Every tool in this category fails, and they fail differently. The useful question is not whether it fails but whether the failure is cheap. Read the one-star reviews rather than the five-star ones: they are where the failure modes are written down, by people who paid.
Botika is the most reviewed app in the category and the most instructive, because its ratings are genuinely split: 69% five-star and 21% one-star across 42 reviews on 2 September 2026. That is not a bad app, it is an inconsistent one, and inconsistency is this category's real problem. Videlia's answer is to put the cheap stage first: a try-on still for one credit before any video, so a bad result costs one credit instead of six.
Where does Videlia lose?
On resolution, on volume pricing, and on track record. Videlia caps at 1080p with no 2K or 4K on any plan, while several competitors advertise 4K. MODA's pay-as-you-go reaches roughly $0.83 per product at volume, and Videlia has no pay-as-you-go tier at all. And Videlia has no reviews, where Botika has 42.
Two of those are deliberate. The resolution ceiling is what the underlying image-to-video model renders, and claiming otherwise would be a lie we would get caught in. There is no pay-as-you-go tier because Shopify's managed pricing does not permit an app to create that kind of charge. The third is just time, and we would rather say so than pad the page.
How should you actually decide?
Run the same product through the two or three you have shortlisted, and pick your hardest product rather than your easiest. A white t-shirt on a plain background flatters everything. A patterned wrap dress with a tie waist is where these tools separate, and it takes about two afternoons on free plans.

Which AI model video app is best for a Shopify store?
There is no single answer, and any page that gives you one is selling something. If you need video published to the product page without touching your theme, Videlia is built for that. Because we make one of them, so our ranking would not be worth reading. A ranking also implies a single winner, and the honest finding is that these tools differ on axes that matter differently to different catalogues. We have given you the axes and the verified numbers instead.
How current are the ratings on this page?
Read from the Shopify App Store on 2 September 2026, and dated in the table for that reason. Review counts in this category move weekly. Third-party directories and roundups quote different figures again, and they disagree with the listings, so check the listing itself rather than an aggregator.
Is this category crowded or empty?
Crowded in listings, empty in traction. At least ten apps now offer some version of this, but the most reviewed has 42 reviews and most are in single digits. There is no established leader, which means published review counts tell you very little and your own test on your own products tells you almost everything.
Does Videlia work for products that are not clothing?
No. Videlia is calibrated for wearable products: apparel, footwear and accessories. It fits a garment to a body, so furniture, electronics and homeware are out of scope. Several apps in the table handle general product photography, and for a non-wearable catalogue one of those is the right choice.
